MATLAB is a commercial mathematical software package developed and marketed by MathWorks. A vast array of MATLAB Toolkits and Toolboxes are available to facilitate technical computation in numerous engineering applications. For example, there are Toolkits for image processing, wavelets, neural networks, hidden Markov chains, fuzzy logic, molecular dynamics animations, geographic mapping, control systems, bioinformatics, elastodynamics, tidal analysis -- the list goes on and on.
